Glaucoma
Glaucoma is a category of eye diseases that cause damage to your optic nerve, the nerve that transmits signals to your brain so they can form images. Optic nerve damage can lead to poor vision or blindness.
Dry Eye
Typically, your tears create a protective tear film over your eyes whenever you blink. This barrier of water and oil keeps the surface of your eye (the cornea) hydrated and comfortable. If you suffer from dry eyes, you don’t make enough tears or don’t create the kind of tears your eyes need for ideal lubrication.
Macular Degeneration
If you are diagnosed with age related macular degeneration, it means that the middle of your retina – the macula – is breaking down over time. This causes vision problems and can often result in central vision loss, although peripheral vision isn’t affected.
Cataracts
Cataracts are milky, cloudy-looking discolorations of a structure in your eye called the lens. Advanced cataracts can cause clouding of the entire lens and significant vision loss.
